What is the Fellowship Event?
In August every year SpringBoard hosts its Fellowship Event: current SpringBoard pupils plus those who are about to start at boarding school are invited, along with their parents/carers and representatives from SpringBoard’s partners from across the UK. It’s a great opportunity for your child to meet other SpringBoard pupils from other SpringBoard schools and also for parents/carers to meet up and share experiences.
Where is the Fellowship Event?
It usually takes place in London. Past venues include City Hall and Teach First, both of which are by the Thames, overlooking Tower Bridge. Return transport will be provided from your home town or city to London.
What happens at the Fellowship Event?
You and your child will be welcomed by SpringBoard and you’ll hear inspiring speeches from, for example, current and former SpringBoard pupils, supporters of SpringBoard and people from other organisations who work with SpringBoard and believe in what we are doing to transform the lives of deserving children. Over refreshments, you will be able to meet other SpringBoard pupils and their families. The aim is to encourage you to feel you and your child are truly part of the SpringBoard network and to feel inspired both by other people’s stories, but also by the power of your own.
What does the Fellowship Event cost?
There is no cost to you. The Fellowship Event is free to attend and transport and catering costs are taken care of.
